Screen Bites – the 2017 Festival

bread-steve-briocheHello  Screenbiters

In 2016 we sold 580 tickets (not counting our Moreton event with Purbeck Film Festival) over the nine nights … down a bit from last year, but then we had fewer evenings.

Our new films – East Side Sushi, Haute Cuisine and Our Little Sister – were very popular with our audiences, but the largest number came to see Far from the Madding Crowd at the new Screen Bites hall, Stalbridge.

We will be updating the website over the “down time” but there is some news about the 2017 festival.

08bc5e3ce352cf0d6bf13e599f3bdb0fFood producer’s co-ordinator Debbie Coombes has decided to take a back seat from now on after years of arranging your tastings.  Louise Leffler has also retired from the committee after  11 years of designing the programmes and flyers for the festival.

And after 12 years of autumnal Screen Biting,  Fanny, Caroline and Gay have decided that next year will be the time to step down and let someone else take the festival onwards.   So our 13th festival, sometime in October next year, will probably be the last in the current format.

If you have any film you would like to see in the Baker’s Dozen festival, or would like to talk about your ideas to continue with Screen Bites, please contact us.
